Al Ahly to beat Inter Miami @ 21/10
Al Ahly and Inter Miami meet in the opening contest of the FIFA Club World Cup in the early hours of Sunday morning and it’s a contest which could go against market expectations.
Inter Miami are strong favourites and the Herons will have home advantage of sorts, with the game being played in the US.
Javier Mascherano has big-name players at his disposal with Jordi Alba, Sergio Busquets, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi in Inter’s ranks.
Of course, that quartet have been top-level performers at their peak, but they are all now faded stars and perhaps the profile of the Herons is feeding into the prices.
Mascherano men’s will carry a threat going forward, but the Herons have allowed 27 goals in 16 MLS matches this season and Al Ahly could punish that leaky defence.
The Egyptians have won three of the last four CAF Champions League titles and they are certainly a capable side.
It’s a revamped Club World Cup for 2025, but the Red Devils have finished third in the Club World Cup in three of the last four seasons and the record suggests they could have something to give in Florida.

Special of the Day – LA Galaxy not to score v St Louis @ 2/1
The MLS continues alongside the Club World Cup and St Louis can pick up only their second victory in 13 league matches when LA Galaxy come to Energizer Park.
The Galaxy have won only one of 17 MLS matches this season, losing 12 of those matches and it is six straight away defeats for Los Galacticos.
Greg Vanney’s men have conceded 14 goals and hit only three in reply in that dismal run of away days and it’s difficult to see the Galaxy snapping their poor form at St Louis.
Take the home side to keep LA Galaxy at bay at Energizer Park.
Longshot of the Day – Charlotte to beat Philadelphia @ 27/10
Charlotte look capable of outrunning their odds when they head to Philadelphia. The Crown impressed with a good 2-0 win in Toronto last time out and Dean Smith looks to have his side heading in the right direction.
Prior to the win over the Reds, Charlotte played well in a 4-2 defeat to the New York Red Bulls while they also got the better of Columbus 3-2.
The Union registered only one shot on target against a Dallas side reduced to 10 men last time out and Bradley Carnell’s men are opposable odds-on chances.
