The multi-hyphenate actor/musician, 57, accepted the inaugural Ultimate Icon honor at the 25th annual awards show on June 9, 2025, barely leaving a dry eye in the room as he reflected on what he's been through over the past couple of years.

“Man, we used to take this thing for granted—that God is good, all the time. I cannot even begin to express the love that I feel from everybody out there,” he said, his voice trembling.
“When I saw the ‘in memoriam’ [portion of the awards show], I was like, man, that could have been me. But I don’t know why I went through what I went through, but I know my second chance—I’m not going to turn down,” he promised, wiping away tears.
