Wales climbed to the top of their World Cup qualifying group on Friday night with a 3-0 victory over Liechtenstein in Cardiff courtesy of goals from Joe Rodon, Harry Wilson and Kieffer Moore, leaving them with seven points from their opening three matches.
The victory also saw Craig Bellamy continue his unbeaten record since taking over as Wales manager last summer, now nine matches without defeat under the 45-year-old’s tutelage.
The Dragons head into matchday four with a two point lead at the top of Group J, and a seven point lead over Belgium, albeit having played two more games than tonight’s opponents.

Belgium kicked off their World Cup qualifying campaign on Friday night with a disappointing 1-1 draw against North Macedonia in Skopje after conceding an 86th minute equaliser.
The draw piles the pressure on tonight’s game over group leaders Wales in their opening home game of the campaign, with only the first place finishers in the group guaranteed a place in next summer’s World Cup, while the second place team enter a play-off.
Belgium head into tonight’s game having won only one of their last eight matches in all competitions, a run which saw them finish third in the Nations League group under Domenico Tedesco before his sacking.
Frenchman Rudi Garcia is now in charge of the Red Devils, his first job to avoid Nations League relegation in a two-legged play-off against Ukraine, losing the first leg 3-1 before scoring three goals in the final 20 minutes of the second leg to secure their League A status.
Wales’ last win against Belgium was famous 3-1 win in the quarter finals of Euro 2016, but are winless in their four meetings since, last coming across each other in the Nations League in 2022, where the two sides drew 1-1 in Cardiff before the Belgians triumphed 2-1 in Brussels.
