While speaking at the Women’s Alzheimer’s Movement Forum in Las Vegas on May 26, Heming Willis shared her initial thoughts and feelings after her husband's doctor appointment.
"The future we imagined simply vanished, and I was left trying to hold my family together, raise our two young daughters, and care for the man I love while navigating a disease I barely understood," she added.
Heming Willis has become an advocate, not only for her husband's medical needs, but for other families who are faced with similar situations.
