Camryn Bradshaw, El Toro, Sr., Inf.
The Princeton-bound Bradshaw went a combined 4 for 7 with a double, two home runs and five RBIs in the Chargers’ run to the Division 4 semifinals. She went 2 for 3 with a double, home run and three RBIs in a 9-3 win at Indio in the quarterfinals. Bradshaw went 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs in an 8-7 loss against Warren in the semifinals.
Jaliane Brooks, Los Alamitos, Fr., P
Brooks earned victories against La Serna and Santa Margarita in the Division 2 quarterfinals and semifinals to improve to 11-7. She notched a complete game in a 7-1 win against La Serna in the quarterfinals. Brooks allowed two earned runs in 5 1/3 innings in a 7-6 victory against Santa Margarita in the semifinals.
Carson Cruz, University, So., P
Cruz earned complete-game victories in the Division 6 quarterfinals and semifinals, and contributed at the plate, as the Trojans reached their first section final. In the quarterfinals, she allowed three earned runs in a 7-5 victory at Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary. In a 10-2 win at Ramona Convent in the semifinals, she didn’t surrender an earned run and went 2 for 5 with three RBIs.
Abby Ford, JSerra, So., P
Ford made a strong start in the quarterfinals and earned the victory in relief in the semifinals to help the Lions reach their first section final. In a 7-1 win at Palos Verdes in Division 2 quarterfinals, she allowed one run and struck out five in 3 1/3 innings. In a 9-6 triumph at Great Oak, she surrendered one run on four hits in 3 1/3 innings of relief to earn the win.
Parker Mayes, El Modena, So., C
Mayes went a combined 5 for 7 with a home run and five RBIs in victories at Notre Dame of Sherman Oaks and Temescal Canyon in the Division 1 quarterfinals and semifinals. The catcher had a home run and season-high five RBIs in a 13-3 win at Temescal Canyon.
Sofia Zavarella, Santa Margarita, Sr., LF
The Eagles’ leadoff batter hit home runs in the Division 2 quarterfinals and semifinals. The Santa Clara commit launched a go-ahead solo home run in the fifth inning in a 2-1 win against Ganesha in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, she hit a solo home run in the sixth to spark a four-run inning in a 7-6 loss at Los Alamitos.
