Greeley city council moves to Greeley police station while technology is replaced ...Saudi Arabia

The Greeley city council’s work session April 22 will be moved to the Donahue Room at the Greeley police station, 2875 10th St., while the city replaces aging technology.

According to the city, this location change will be only temporary, as the work is expected to take place April 16-May 3. Only the City Council’s work session will be affected by this change, as other city meetings are not scheduled to take place in the chambers.

“The technology in council chambers is simply outdated and needs to be refreshed,” Director of Information Technology Nick Hoyle said in a release. “This project is about having reliable equipment so meetings can continue to run smoothly.”

The Donahue Room was chosen due to its ADA accessibility and the technology already present that allows for live-streaming options. While public input is not taken during city council work sessions, the meeting is open to the public.

“City council meetings are important for residents to stay informed and engaged with their local government,” city clerk Heidi Leatherwood said in a release. “We wanted to ensure residents could still access the April 22 work session without disruption.”

The April 22 work session will begin at 6 p.m. Information about the work session and any other meetings are listed on the city civic portal, greeleyco.portal.civicclerk.com.
