When people are named grand marshal of the Greeley Stampede, it’s the way Stampede officials say thank you to that person for being a pillar in the community.
This year, Stampede officials say thanks to Ron Wildeman and Kelly Quick, who are the 2025 Greeley Stampede Grand Marshals.
Wildeman has lived in Greeley since 1994. Since then, he has been involved with the Greeley Area Chamber of Commerce, the Poudre Learning Center and the Weld County Workforce Development. He has donated over 24 gallons of blood, according to a media release and his helped build houses for Habitat for Humanity.
He has been a key Stampede volunteer while also serving on the Stampede committee. He was the committee general chairman in 2011 and 2012. He has been a member of the Greeley Rotary Club for 30 years, serving as its president from 2015-2016.
“Helping people and volunteering was ingrained in me at a young age,” said Wildeman in the media release. “I would watch my mother help people in the community and learned the value of lending a hand to support others, along with the satisfaction that comes with knowing you made a difference.”
Quick, Wildeman’s partner, has worked behind the scenes for several community organizations over the years. She has organized local events and has lent her time to charitable activities in the community.
“Kelly is a very organized person,” Wildeman said. “She jumps in to support the logistics of a fundraiser or event to ensure that it is running smoothly and efficiently, which is an incredible asset. Her ability to manage details and coordinate efforts is invaluable to our community.”
