A woman shot in north Denver late Thursday night has died and police are now investigating the case as a homicide, authorities said Friday morning.

The area is less than a mile from where Denver police fatally shot an armed man four hours earlier.
The woman was later pronounced dead, Denver police said Friday morning, and officers are working to develop information about suspects. Her name will be released by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
