During a recent appearance at the famed Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tenn., the "King of the Road" crooner and fellow country star Clay Walker revealed that the two would be joining forces for an upcoming biopic centered around Travis.
Walker introduced the 65-year-old Country Hall of Famer to the stage as one of his "heroes" before divulging the details of their joint venture.
As the audience roared with applause and Travis appeared to take it all in with a big smile, the "Live Until I Die" singer then disclosed the title of the project, Forever and Ever, Amen–a nod to a tune Travis released in 1987 on his second studio album, Always & Forever.
"The good Lord's had his hand in this," Walker continued, "And we're gonna make the best movie about this man's life."

Wildcat (2023) producer Eric Groth and writer-director Andrew Hyatt of Sacred Arthouse are also said to be involved, per Deadline, which also reported Travis and Walker would be teaming up with Zach Dasher (The Blind, Duck Family Treasure) and Korie Robertson (God's Not Dead, I'm Not Ashamed) for the project.
Other information–like a release date and synopsis–have yet to be revealed, but, it's expected that the film will touch upon the biggest milestones of Travis' life and career; including his seven Grammy wins, 11 ACM Awards, 10 AMA Awards and five CMA awards, his Country Hall of Fame induction, personal relationships and details of the stroke he suffered in 2013.
