A RARE color-swapped McDonald’s restaurant has been spotted, and fans are bewildered.

The restaurant has foregone the classic red and yellow color scheme for something more unique.

The quirky McDonald’s location is located in Brick Township, New Jersey, just off of Route 70.

Diners are puzzled as to why this particular location has gotten itself a makeover.

In a Facebook post by user Thomas Michael, photos showed the otherwise unremarkable McDonald’s location sporting a new coat of blue paint.

“Exciting news: The local McDonald’s is now blue,” Michael wrote.

“No grand opening, no ribbon-cutting, just a quiet transition from red and yellow to a more subdued hue.”

Michael confirmed that while the restaurant’s appearance may have changed, the fries still taste the same.

“No banana for scale because I feared it would clash with the new color scheme,” Michael quipped.

, made to the Dull Men’s Club Facebook group, immediately gained traction with 1,600 reactions and over 500 comments at the time of publishing.

FAN REACTIONS

Several users in the comments were unhappy with the store’s aesthetic, comparing the new look to other familiar establishments including Walmart and Culver’s.

“These new restaurant designs have no personality now, just plain humdrum and boring!” one user complained.

“They’ve been destroying their image for over 20 years now,” said another user.

“Just not something one wants to enter unless they are looking to check out a book,” wrote another.

However, many comments on the original post were supportive of the store’s distinctive new identity, comparing it to other unconventional McDonald’s restaurants.

The comments section was flooded with photos of other unique McDonald’s locations across the globe.

“A world of blue is better than a world of white black and gray,” said one user.

“I do appreciate it,” another said.

“Idk why. I don’t even like McDonald’s.”

A user who claimed to work for the company explained that there is likely an explanation for the unusual overhaul.

“Usually there’s a reason behind something like this,” the user wrote.

“I work for McDonald’s, and they are very strict when it comes to brand recognition. They wouldn’t do this without a proper reason for sure.”

Photos on Google Maps show the store’s old appearance with the familiar gray brick design, as well as its eye-catching new blue facade.
