Rahmanullah Gurbaz suffered a nasty blow on the inner thigh at the National Stadium in Karachi on Friday, February 21, and he collapsed on the ground.
Gurbaz came to open the innings with Ibrahim Zadran and the team management would have been hoping that the duo would take Afghanistan to a flying start.
He quickly ran for a single and after completing it with ease he was down on the ground at the non-striker's end. Rahmanullah Gurbaz looked in extreme pain, and he called for medical attention.
However, Gurbaz's innings didn't last very long as he was dismissed by Lungi Ngidi on the second ball of the 4th over as Keshav Maharaj completed a good catch to send him back.

What happened in the previous ODI between South Africa and Afghanistan?
Batting first, Afghanistan struggled to put up a big total. They only managed to score 169 runs before getting all out in just 34 overs. Wicketkeeper-batsman Rahmanullah Gurbaz was the top performer in the innings, scoring 89 off 94 balls with seven fours and four sixes.
Meanwhile, South Africa were brilliant with the ball and on the field, with three Afghanistan batters being run out. Lungi Ngidi (2/22), Andile Phehlukwayo (2/17), and Nqabayomzi Peter (2/22) shined for the Proteas and dismantled Afghanistan's batting lineup.
