Paramedics took two people to the hospital Thursday morning after a four-car crash shut down Colorado 93 in both directions west of Denver.
The crash happened on the northbound highway at about 6:12 a.m. Thursday, south of West 56th Avenue at mile marker 2, according to a news release from the Colorado State Patrol.
Colorado 93 is closed in both directions between Spyderco Way in Golden and 64th Avenue Parkway near Arvada, Colorado Department of Transportation officials said.
Cameras in the area of the crash at 9:30 a.m. showed multiple cars resting on both shoulders of the two-lane highway and debris scattered across the lanes. The highway remains closed for the crash investigation and cleanup.
