HOLLYWOOD legend Adam Sandler has hinted at what fans can expect from Travis Kelce’s performance in the upcoming Happy Gilmore sequel.

Kelce is understood to be considering his future in the NFL following last week’s Super Bowl defeat.

The Kansas City Chiefs suffered a shock 40-22 defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles in New Orleans, stopping them from achieving a historic three-peat.

Kelce later admitted that he was not ready to make a decision on his future, fuelling retirement rumours.

In a recent episode of the New Heights podcast, he said: “I’m gonna take some time to figure it out.

“And I think I owe it to my teammates that if I do come back that it’s gonna be a wholehearted decision and I’m not half-a**ing it, and I’m fully here for them.

“I think I can play, it’s just whether or not I’m motivated or it’s the best decision for me as a man, as a human, as a person to take on all that responsibility.”

Should he decide to hang up his cleats, Kelce is set to have a series of career offers on the table.

The 35-year-old has been tipped to become the “next Tom Brady” by moving into NFL broadcasting.

He could decide to accept an NFL analyst role like Brady and his older brother, Jason Kelce.

The Chiefs tight end already has experience working in TV from his time as host of Are You Smarter than a Celebrity? – a quiz game show streaming on Amazon Prime.

Or, he could decide to focus on a career in acting.

Kelce made his acting debut in horror TV series Grotesquerie in 2024.

And he will make is movie debut in the highly-anticipated Happy Gilmore sequel later this year.

The movie is produced by Adam Sandler, who will also reprise his role as the main character, Happy.

Sandler is a huge admirer of Kelce and heaped praised on the Chiefs star when discussing the film at the weekend.

He told Vanity Fair: “Funny as hell. Funny as hell. No kidding. Unbelievable!”

Sandler was in attendance for the 50th Anniversary Special of Saturday Night Live.

The actor earned his big break on the TV show in the early 1990s.
