It comes following reports that right wing politicians from the Conservatives and Reform UK have privately urged Donald Trump’s allies to distance themselves from Robinson, warning it was a step too far.
Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon, was jailed for 18 months last October after admitting he committed contempt of court by repeating false allegations against a Syrian refugee in breach of an injunction.
