Ayush Mhatre achieved this milestone during the match between Mumbai and Nagaland played during the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25. During this innings, he also broke the record previously held by Yashasvi Jaiswal.
At 17 years and 168 days, Ayush Mhatre is now the youngest player to score 150 runs or more in List A cricket. Mhatre smashed 181 off just 117 balls at a blistering strike rate of 154.70. He struck 15 fours and 11 sixes during his knock.
Earlier, the record was held by Yashasvi Jaiswal who scored 150 plus runs when his age was 17 years and 291 days. Jaiswal scored a terrific double-hundred against Jharkhand in the 2019 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

Meanwhile, it was a superlative performance from Mumbai as they came back from the defeat to Punjab in the previous match. Nagaland elected to field first on a good batting surface at Narendra Modi, Stadium, Ahmedabad.
There weren't big contributions from the middle order but Prasad Pawar and Shardul Thakur ensured Mumbai crossed the 400-run mark. Thakur smashed a fiery 73 off just 28 balls with 2 fours and 8 sixes to help Mumbai post 403-8 in 50 overs.
Shardul Thakur shone with the ball as well with 3-17 in 5 overs. Royston Dias and Suryansh Shedge also picked up two wickets each for Mumbai. With this win, Mumbai are now positioned third in their group with 3 wins and 2 defeats.
