Fatal crash closes road in south Charlotte: CMPD ...Middle East

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Major Crash Investigation Unit is investigating a deadly crash in south Charlotte. The incident occurred in the 1400 block of Tyvola Road. The road is closed between South Boulevard and Tyvola Drive. Medic says 1 person died as a result of the crash. Three others were transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Officials are asking people to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
