Blackhawks Recall Korchinski and Commesso, Place Mrázek on IR ...Middle East

With the injuries to Petr Mrázek and Alec Martinez on Saturday night, the Blackhawks needed to add at least one body before traveling to New York for three games this week. On Sunday morning, they added two. Mrázek was placed on IR with a left groin issue, which is disheartening because he’s dealt with groin issues in his past and appeared to have finally moved past them and become a steady, solid goaltender since coming to the Blackhawks. Hopefully this isn’t a long-term issue. Drew Commesso was called up from Rockford to back up Arvid Söderblom for the time being.
