AUSTIN (KXAN) — Southwest Airlines will begin seasonal nonstop service between Austin and Omaha, Nebraska, in November, an airline spokesperson told KXAN. The AUS-OMA route is currently operated by Allegiant Air, but that service is being cut, along with six other routes, as Allegiant trims options from Austin as part of a base closure. The airline has not said when flights will last operate, but the employee and aircraft base is set to close in January.
