Bhubaneswar: The schedule for by-elections to fill vacant chairman and vice-chairman posts in several Panchayat Samitis across Odisha has been announced by the State Election Commission (SEC). The by-elections will take place on 22 August 2024, from 12.30 pm to 2 pm, the SEC informed. There are six vacant chairman posts in the state, located in Kabisuryanagar, Khalllikote, and Kukudahandi in Ganjam; Narla in Kalahandi; Raighar in Nabarangpur; and Bhapur in Nayagarh.
