ELLENDALE, N.D. — Before heading to the North Dakota State College of Science in August to continue his education and basketball career, Ellendale’s Kade Schimke recently spent some time overseas gaining some valuable hoops experience. Schimke returned from Blanes, Spain, outside of Barcelona, where he spent June 10-18 representing the United States in the Euro Youth Basketball Cup. Schimke, a 6-foot-9 forward, suited up for the U.S. Under-18 boys Blue team, one of two American tournament squads fielded by PhD Hoops.
