Photo via Pixabay A 52-year-old bicyclist suffered fatal injuries when the victim was struck by a vehicle while riding on a rural highway in east San Diego County, authorities said Saturday. The accident occurred around 3:50 p.m. Friday on State Route 67 north of Mapleview Street in Lakeside, according to the California Highway Patrol. A 32-year-old Lakeside man was driving a silver 2021 Chevrolet Trax southbound on SR 67 and crashed into the bicyclist while he was riding westbound across the highway, the CHP reported.
