ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A new red panda is coming to the Seneca Park Zoo!
Zoo leaders say a female red panda named Rose is in the zoo’s animal hospital, getting ready to join Gizmo. The transfer came through a breeding recommendation made by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums Red Panda Species Survival Plan.
Conservation experts say there are only 2,500 red pandas remaining.
