Clinton Leisz said officers were called to the intersection of 50th Street and El Cajon Boulevard at 9:10 p.m. where they learned the victim was running across El Cajon Boulevard prior to the collision. Leisz said the driver, a 20-year-old man, was heading east on El Cajon when the pedestrian stopped, turned around and was struck.
