Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce has announced his retirement. Known for his tenacity and leadership on the field, Kelce leaves behind a legacy of hard work and dedication to the game.
Kelce was a key player in the Eagles' Super Bowl LII victory in 2018, earning Pro Bowl honors three times during his career. His ability to read defenses and make crucial blocks helped lead the team to numerous victories over the years.
Kelce held an emotional, 45-minute press conference Monday at the NovaCare Complex in South Philadelphia, with his parents, Ed and Donna, and brother, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, in attendance.
The 36-year-old wore a sleeveless Eagles T-shirt and immediately burst into tears.
"Let's see how long this lasts," Kelce said.

Kelce drinking a beer and announcing he would retire from hosting a local radio show instead of the NFL.
Kelce arrived at his press conference in a tank top and delivered a sprawling statement about the decision to hang up his helmet while also detailing many of the key memories he made during his storied football career.
The future hall-of-famer called out head coach Andy Reid for taking a chance on him in the sixth round of the NFL Draft and then later his brother Travis, who was in attendance and also in tears at the press conference.
It seems he finally came to a decision over the past few weeks. During his final Eagles press conference he said, “Thirteen seasons in Philadelphia, and I look back at a career filled with ups and downs.”
After the game, Travis, Jason and Swift stepped out at a club in Las Vegas to celebrate with the younger Kelce’s teammates. Many viral videos emerged from the party, including clips of the Philadelphia Eagles center dancing in a red and yellow wrestling mask and the 14-time Grammy winner singing along to her own songs with Travis
