He continues to blow my mind,” said Shine’s mother, Jamie Duby. Every day brings a new challenge, but Shine was born a fighter. Duby had no idea of her baby’s diagnosis until the day he was born, Sept. 16, 2017. Shine was immediately rushed into emergency surgery at UC Davis Children’s Hospital. “It was devastating. I didn’t know if he was in pain, I didn’t know if he would even make it past three weeks,” said Duby
