San Diego County Sheriff‘s deputies were called at approximately 3:10 p.m. to the 9700 block of Cactus Street after a report of shots fired. Lt. Joseph Jarjura said deputies found Michael Anthony Johnson lying in the street suffering from a gunshot wound. Lakeside Fire Protection District paramedics were called to the scene to render aid to the victim, but Johnson was pronounced dead at 3:25 p.m., Jarjura said.
