CORTLAND — Thomas A. Leschinsky, 76, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 7, 2023, at Mercy Health St. Joseph’s Warren Hospital. He was born May 21, 1947, in Youngstown, the son of Andrew and Margaret Swantek Leschinsky. Tom was a 1965 graduate of Campbell Memorial High School. During summers in high school, he began working as a laborer and expeditor with his father, a bricklayer and foreman. Tom traveled to New York, Michigan, Illinois and California to help with the construction of blast furnaces in steel mills around the country. a 1966, he enlisted as a Marine and served a tour as a sergeant in Vietnam, along with his brother George.
