NFL Week 10: Lions vs. Chargers 41-38

Sport by : (PRESSBEE) -

Chargers, 41-38, to improve to 7-2 on the season.

Detroit racked up 533 total yards of offense and 200 rushing yards in the win. They got two one-yard rushing touchdowns from Jahmyr Gibbs and a 75-yard touchdown run from David Montgomery, who led the way for Detroit's rushing attack with 116 yards on 12 carries. Gibbs had 77 yards on 14 carries.

Austin Ekeler ran the ball 19 times for 67 yards and punched in a touchdown while adding four receptions for 48 receiving yards.

With a 61.5 rushing and receiving yard bet line, DraftKings is predicting Gibbs’ production will be cut roughly in half from his stat line from the Ravens.

The Chargers’ defense is not as stout as the Ravens, but on average, the Chargers allow less than 90 yards on the ground per game. One of the reasons their defensive rushing numbers are so impressive is that teams are simply throwing on the Chargers, and on average they allow 286 yards through the air each game—that’s the most allowed in the NFL.

Chargers, it’s not as easy to predict in what form they will come and that’s why combining rushing and receiving yards for Gibbs seems like the best approach.

Following St. Brown's score, Chargers first-round pick Quentin Johnston scored his first touchdown on a 1-yard reception on fourth-and-goal with 11:30 remaining in the fourth quarter.

Four minutes later, the Lions' Brock Wright was wide open down the middle on a 25-yard TD reception.
