Now that parking lot construction has ended, the Wood County District Public Library is reminding everyone that towing is strictly enforced between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night. The library began towing in 2012 in response to repeated requests from the local police department to close library lots after hours since the lots were becoming a focal point of late night criminal activity (drugs, fights and assaults). Since WCDPL implemented towing in accordance with all requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the police no longer have to spend hours in the lots at night, library property is no longer damaged and the library has been able to avoid having 10-15 broken beer bottles in the lots each
