Bhubaneswar: Fine of more than Rs 186 crore has been collected from the violators of traffic rules in the twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack in the last three years. Informing about it in the Assembly, Minister of State (MoS) Home Tusharkanti Behera that the Commissionerate Police in Bhubaneswar-Cuttack twin cities have collected of Rs 186,04,55,440 from 18,52,394 persons in three years (i.e 2020, 2021 and 2022) for violating traffic rules. The penalty amount was collected from flouters of traffic rules such as driving two-wheeler without wearing helmet, driving while talking on mobile phone, driving without seat belt, driving on wrong route and driving in an inebriated condition etceter
