Kylian Mbappe between Chelsea and Liverpool , League clubs around the World Cup winner

 Chelsea are hoping to land Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe in a players-plus-cash deal, according to a report.

Mbappe has until midnight on Monday to trigger the option to extend his contract to 2025 and Sky Sports say the French champions are ‘99.9 per cent sure he won’t’.

The France captain has made it clear he will not stay at the club beyond 2024, which has obviously put PSG in a very difficult situation.

Ironically, the 24-year-old is due a €60million loyalty bonus if he is still at the club on Tuesday

PSG are actively looking to sell the player and recently accepted a monstrous £259million bid from Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Hilal, only for Mbappe to refuse to negotiate a move to the middle east.

Chelsea are keen on him too.

The Eagles might finally get involved in the transfer market themselves by acquiring Brazilian teenager Matheus França from Flamengo after negotiating a fee of €20m plus sundries.

The former Arsenal youngster Yunus Musah is set to depart Valencia to join Milan. He’s been in fine form for an underperforming Los che, so will be pretty happy to swap the Mestalla for San Siro, which will set Milan back €20m and some add ons.

That leaves Mbappe's immediate future up in the air, with Premier League clubs sensing a big opportunity. Reports over the weekend linked Liverpool with a sensational 12-month loan deal for the 24-year-old, who did not travel on PSG's pre-season tour of Japan.

However, it has now emerged that the Reds could have their bid for the superstar hijacked by Chelsea. Todd Boehly's big-spending Blues are said to be attempting to clinch a player-plus-cash deal to bring Mbappe to Stamford Bridge.
