He was born on February 16, 1946 in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late William I. & Martha Jeanne (Heyman) Whitman. He married Patty Ann Mahler on November 17, 1967 in Fostoria, Ohio. Surviving is his loving wife of 55 years Patty; son, William (Sara) Whitman of Deshler, Ohio; daughters, Teresa (Chuck) Lear of Findlay, Ohio, Christina (Anton Guliaev) Whitman of Pleasant Hill, California; brother, Steve (Mary) Whitman of Marianna, Florida; grandchildren, Patricia, Brianna (Andrew), Adyson, Pre
