Travelers flying out of Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) are the biggest winners in the latest expansion, with direct access to three standout global hotspots.
Starting May 6, 2027, American will become the only U.S. airline flying nonstop to Vienna, Austria. Known for its world-class classical music heritage, historic palaces, and iconic café culture, Vienna will also feature an extended flight season running through early January 2028, giving American flyers direct access to magical European Christmas markets during the winter holidays.
For travelers craving coastal charm and rich culinary traditions, American is launching its first-ever direct service between Philadelphia and Porto, Portugal, on March 28 on its Airbus A321XLR aircraft.
