To the Editor: The Ukiah Valley Friends of the Library is opposed to the Board of Supervisors recently proposed General Sales Tax Measure for Fire and Water Districts. The BOS is stating that an Advisory Board would be formed to help distribute the funds. That statement is disingenuous to the point of hypocrisy. The Library Advisory Board is being ignored completely. The LAB helped form the Citizens Committee for the Library Initiative 2022 with the full knowledge and consent of the BOS. And now the Board is actively campaigning against it as they propose a 3/8th of a cent sales tax.
