To the Editor: Meeting CA’s energy needs involves a mix of solar, wind, geothermal and energy conservation. This letter is focused on small “roof-top” solar installations. Publicly owned utilities and community choice aggregation already deliver a substantial portion of CA’s power. They are not the problem and are not the focus of this letter. This letter is in response to recent proposals by CPUC to gut incentives for roof-top solar and commit CA’s energy future to investor-owned utilities and their long-distance transmission lines.
