Bahrain has awarded a total of 1,070 tenders and auctions worth $3.42 billion during the first six months of the year, despite the economic conditions triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic, newly released data from Bahrain’s Tender Board has shown. Of the contracts awarded, the majority were for the oil sector, with projects worth $1.84 billion, followed by aviation ($474.8 million), and the construction and engineering consultancy sector with $411.2 million.
