A request for proposal (RFP) for construction work relating to the Cargo Express Village at the Bahrain International Airport (BIA) has been issued by the Bahrain Airport Company (BAC). The scope of work includes the construction, testing and commissioning of Phase 1-A of Cargo Express Village, as per the Bahrain Tenders Board. According to a statement, the key facilities being planned include a warehouses zone spread over a 12,500sqm, two power substations, a landside access road from Al Rayya highway, a car parking zone and security guard house at the entrance of the Cargo Express Village, in addition to water tanks and pumping station and an emergency gate.
