I’ve been chronically homeless for almost half my life. I currently live at the Hotel Indigo in downtown Brooklyn, one of the city’s temporary hotel shelters. But along with the rest of the hotel shelter population, the city is going to make me move back to a dangerous congregate shelter. All while the mayor has the power, with just the stroke of a pen, to make permanent housing possible for me.
