More than 80% of construction works have been completed on the Hamriyah Independent Power Plant in Sharjah, authorities have announced. The plant comprises a General Electric gas turbine with a production capacity of 400MW, a heat recovery boiler and a steam turbine with a capacity of 200MW. According to a statement, the Al Hamriyah project comprises three stages operating on an installed cycle system, each of which can produce 600MW. The project is said to be one of the most recent in the emirate’s energy sector.
