Egypt’s agricultural exports exceed 3.3 million tons in 5 months

Egypt announced an increase in the volume of its agricultural exports to more than 3.3 million tons from January 1 to May 26. Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, al-Sayed al-Quseir announced Saturday that the biggest agricultural exports for this period were citrus, potatoes, onions, strawberries, pomegranates, sweet potatoes, beans, beets, guava, peppers, mangoes, garlic, and grapes. He pointed out that 8,500 tons of peaches and about 6,500 tons of watermelon were exported at the beginning of the season to England, Italy, Russia, Romania, Poland, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon, Libya and Iraq.
