Cairo: Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz has approved the construction of a massive mosque project in the Pakistani capital Islamabad, the Saudi news agency SPA reported Saturday. The site will be named the Mosque of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the official title of the Saudi monarch. Situated at the Islamabad-based International Islamic University’s hostel, the mosque will have two separate prayer areas for male and male worshippers planned to accommodate 4,000 males and 2,000 females respectively, in addition to outdoor courtyards of capacity of up to 6,000 worshippers.
