To encourage critical thinking, better poise, speech delivery and oratory skills among students, the department of English, Girls’ Section at MES Indian School recently organised an intraclass debate for students of grade V and VI on a virtual platform. MES principal Hameeda Kadar was the chief guest. The moderator Sehla Kabeer announced the rules and regulations to the eight participants. Four students from each team debated in favour and against the motion, ‘Animals Should Enjoy the Same Rights as Humans.’ The participants with great poise convinced the audience with statistical analysis of data in support of their claims. Aesha Fathima Basheer and Meherin Hafis were declared the best
