A man allegedly carrying a stolen firearm was arrested in Redwood Valley Saturday, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office reported. According to the MCSO, the incident began when a deputy stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Highway 20 and Marina Drive shortly after 10 p.m. on May 1. After learning that the driver, identified as Brandon G. Maxfield, 29, of Willits, was on probation, the deputy searched the vehicle. Prior to the search, the deputy was told that a firearm and Percocet pills were inside the vehicle. The deputy then reportedly recovered a loaded Glock 10mm caliber pistol from the glove box of the vehicle that was listed as stolen out of the Bay Area. Several Percocet pills
