On Saturday at 2:34 a.m., a Mendocino County sheriff’s deputy stopped a vehicle in the 6000 block of East Side Calpella Road in Calpella, approaching the male driver, a 40-year-old Ukiah man, and his passenger, Eduardo Alvarez, 25, also from Ukiah. According to a Sheriff’s Office news release, a records check revealed Alvarez was on active CDC Parole and had an outstanding arrest warrant for violation of his parole terms. Alvarez was arrested on the warrant and a search of the vehicle was conducted pursuant to the terms of his parole.
