Doha Bank rated ‘A’ by Fitch and ‘Baa1’ by Moody's, successfully completed a $500mn five-year senior unsecured bond at a yield of 2.431% per annum, which is equivalent to a credit spread of 150 basis points over five-year mid swap rate. The transaction was executed under the bank’s $2bn EMTN Issuance Programme, which is listed on London Stock Exchange. Doha Bank chairman Sheikh Fahad bin Mohamed bin Jabor al-Thani commented, “Doha Bank is very pleased with the success of this transaction, which highlights the confidence placed by investors in Qatar, the Bank’s board, management team and its strategic direction.
