In the field of literature, Ahmed Faraz and Dr Jameel Jalbi were awarded Nishan-e-Imtiaz posthumously. Singer Abida Parveen received Nishan-e-Imtiaz, while the late Sadequain Naqvi was bestowed with the award in the art of painting.
