For all the reality-TV junkies out there, who’s your favorite “Mormon Wife”?
If Whitney Leavitt tops any lists out there, fans of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives were certainly disappointed when she announced that she’s leaving the hit show. Beyond season 5, the show has been renewed for 20 additional episodes.
But fret not, Hulu subscribers, because the TV personality and actress, 33, is reuniting with the streamer for an all-new project.
On Wednesday, November 4, Deadline reported that Leavitt is set to star in and produce her own show, with Mormon Wives producer Jeff Jenkins Productions attached. She will executive-produce the untitled reality series alongside her husband Conner Leavitt and others.
The upcoming show will reportedly follow “firebrand Whitney Leavitt and her family as they navigate her newfound fame and career ambitions while always putting family first.”
Whitney announced she was leaving Mormon Wives back in May, during her final performance in the Broadway musical Chicago, per Deadline.
Previously, as Dancing with the Stars fans know, Leavitt starred in season 34 and was partnered with Mark Ballas.
Whitney Leavitt Speaks Out After Husband Conner’s ‘DWTS’ Elimination
Speaking of DWTS, Whitney recently spoke out for the first time since her husband Conner, 32, was eliminated first. The Sept. 15 premiere episode saw Conner and his professional dance partner, Adele Zaikman, eliminated after they scored a 12 out of 30 for their Salsa to “Whoomp! There It Is!” by Tag Team.
The following day, Whitney took to Instagram to pay tribute to Conner’s short-lived time on season 35, especially given that she competed the year prior.
“Conner, I am so proud of you ? I hope you never let this ending take away from what you just did,” the Broadway star wrote. “You stepped so far outside of your comfort zone, worked your ass off, put yourself out there, and went for it. People can have their opinions, but I know you. They’ve only seen a fraction of what you’re capable of. And I can’t wait for them to find out!”
