Alabama soccer finished the regular season last Sunday on a road loss to Mississippi State. At season’s end, the Crimson Tide finished 14-4.
The 2026 SEC soccer tournament runs Nov. 8-15 in Pensacola, Florida, with the games being held at the Ashton Brosnaham Soccer Complex.
The Crimson Tide is entering the tournament as the No. 3 seed, meaning it has a first-round bye and will start in the quarterfinals.
“We earned a bye in the first round and will await the winner of Auburn vs. LSU, two very good teams that we know well,” said head coach Wes Hart.
Alabama will be making its 19th appearance in the SEC Tournament.
The four first-round games will be held on Nov. 8. No. 7 Oklahoma takes on No. 10 Georgia,
No. 8 Mississippi State will play No. 9 Texas and No. 5 Arkansas will face No. 12 Florida.
No. 6 Auburn plays No. 11 LSU at 2:00 p.m. CT on Nov. 8, and the winner will play Alabama on the 10th.
Alabama drew 1-1 against LSU in the preseason. The Crimson Tide has shown since then that it is capable of beating tougher teams and will look to secure early goals and force the Tigers out of a win if they play each other. Alabama lost to LSU 2-0 in 2020 in the SEC Tournament.
The Crimson Tide took home the Iron Bowl of Soccer trophy earlier this season when it traveled to Auburn and beat the Tigers 1-0. Alabama last played Auburn in the SEC tournament in 2019, winning 2-1.
“LSU has a very dangerous attack, while Auburn has one of the stingiest defenses in the country,” Hart said.
Alabama has experience playing both teams and will look to secure a win against either of them to make it to the semifinals on Nov. 12.
