Since joining the Broncos in 2023, Denver has made two playoff appearances in three years. This year would make it three in four seasons.
He completely turned Denver’s culture around starting in 2023, through 2024 and their first playoff appearance, into winning the No. 1 seed last year, and into this season.
There’s a reason why this team has won 15 consecutive one-score games.
He’s molded this into a winning team. First, he taught the Broncos how to win. Then he taught them how to win even when they don’t play their best football.
And as he explained last year, the Broncos first goal at the beginning of every season is to win their division. Now, they’re one step closer.
All while realizing there’s a ton of football left to be played. It’s the midway point of the year, after all.
Broncos schedule easier than Chiefs from here on out
Now that Denver took care of business against Kansas City, they have a much easier schedule than the Chiefs.
Denver’s schedule was front-loaded with a ton of difficult opponents. Both NFC Championship teams from last year — which the Broncos beat — including the Super Bowl champions in the Seahawks.
Per ESPN’s Football Power Index, the Broncos have the easiest strength of schedule from here on out. Meanwhile, Kansas City’s is 7th-hardest.
Over their next six games, Denver faces:

Then they finish hosting the Bills on Christmas — their most difficult remaining game — at the Patriots, and then the sorry Chargers.

The Chiefs could conceivably go 7-3 in their remaining games and finish 12-5.
Denver could simultaneously go 7-2 and be sitting at 13-4.
And if they tie in the standings, it will go to tiebreakers against common opponents and AFC opponents.
Again, there’s a ton of football left to be played but the Broncos are in the driver’s seat for the AFC West right now.
