Claudia Winkleman has reportedly been confirmed to host an ITV revival of Hell’s Kitchen.
The presenter, who stepped down from Strictly Come Dancing at the end of last year and quit her self-titled chat show after just one season, was reported to be in talks to host a reboot of the popular programme earlier this year, but has now signed her contract, according to The Sun.
A source told the publication: "This is a major coup for ITV and everyone is very excited.
"Claudia was exceptional on Hell’s Kitchen back in the Noughties and is absolutely still the right person for the job."
Radio Times has approached ITV for comment.
Winkleman previously hosted the fourth and final run of the original UK version of the programme in 2009, when Marco Pierre White served as the head chef.
While a revival of the series is yet to be officially announced, Gordon Ramsay – who created the show and appeared as head chef back in season 1 before launching and appearing on the American version – previously fuelled rumours of a comeback.
"I think we're gonna come back to the UK with Hell's Kitchen live next year," he told The Sun.
"And it’s about time, because everywhere I go across the UK it’s ‘Please bring it back’. So we’re talking now with ITV to bring it back. And fingers crossed we’ll have something exciting to keep you updated on."
Despite stepping down from Strictly and her chat show, Winkleman has had a busy year on screen, returning to host The Celebrity Traitors season 2, which concluded its run earlier this week, as well as the fourth season of The Piano.
She also joined dog show Crufts back in March to present live coverage for Channel 4 alongside Clare Balding and the team.
